When I was using the ip330 in Continuous mode I found it necessary to set the gain a couple of times in my startup file in order to get it to run:
record(longout,"BL18I-EA-IONC-01:IGain")
{
field(PINI,"YES")
field(VAL,"0")
field(DTYP,"asynInt32")
field(OUT,"@asyn(ip330b 0)GAIN")
}
And in the startup file:
dbpf ("BL18I-EA-IONC-01:IGain","1")
dbpf ("BL18I-EA-IONC-01:IGain","0")
Note sure if this is relevant to you but it may be worth trying when you switch back to continuous mode.

Hi EPICS folks,
I’m seeing a problem with the EPICS module for the VME ADC board IP330, software version 2-6. I’m trying to switch between Burst Continuous and Burst Single modes for step scanning and hardware-synchronized fly scanning,
respectively, at run time. When I process the provided ScanMode record, the board gets stuck in Burst Single mode no matter if I’m setting the Burst Continuous mode (value 3) or Burst Single mode (value 4).
Has anybody else been successful at switching modes at run time for the IP330 board using this software?
Thanks,
Jay Steele
