Interesting, what does "uname -a" report on your machine?
I agree that darwin-x86_64 is no longer a legal target architecture, we
removed that in R3.14.11 when we put in the ARCH_CLASS setting, but I
obviously missed the startup host architecture tests. I don't think we can
cope with someone doing strange things to ARCH_CLASS, but
I don't have access to any Macs here that are configured to be 64-bit by
default, and I'm not sure if it's possible to switch a machine to 64-bit
without rebooting anyway. If anyone knows how I can run an ssh session in 64-
bit on an otherwise 32-bit Mac, please elucidate!
