Title: Re: Snr Controls Engineer Contract Position Australian Synchrotron

We have a long history of mentioning technical openings.
The Australian Synchrotron has some need for support in the short term.
We also have a long history of trying to provide support to our colleagues. The best example of this is our friends at KEK that have given an incredible amount of support to others throughout asia.
I would encourage anyone that is interested, to check it out. Melbourne is a beautiful city.

Good folk of tech talk, please consider two things:

Thing one:
Please be aware, if you are considering this position that the Australian Synchrotron currently does not have secured long term funding
ref http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2011/05/23/3223953.htm - and many other articles - use google or read the references on the wiki page.
There has been quite a bit of a fuss in the local media.

Thing two:
Is it appropriate that I make this comment on what should be a technical forum? Should we allow job posts at all? What are the rules here? We have always tolerated
job posts, but as far as I can tell I'm the first ever to comment on one?
