Greetings,

I am trying to build CSS Basic EPICS from source as a way of verifying

that I can build CSS locally.

I have downloaded source snap-shot 2.5.1 from

http://ics-web.sns.ornl.gov/css/products.html

I unzip the source, import project, and export the product

org.csstudio.basic.epics.product

and the product mostly works. However

1) if I choose menu item  CSS -> Dignostic Tools -> Probe
nothing appears to happen

2) in Boy Examples I can run the main.opi but

  i) Start-up.opi nad Macro.opi show the same as main.opi

 ii) on Widget.opi if I choose say the LED button I get the LED

display but it is not animated as I would expect and the "Go Home"

button does not work ( as if it is not in run mode? )

3) I have done this on both Windows and Linux. On Linux I have the

additional problem that live PVs don't connect (can read from archiver)

I don't see any console messages or I don't have the right console visible.

Can someone offer advice on how to proceed with debugging this situation?
