Many thanks for taking the time to do this.
However, 2.0.99 is very much out-dated (by no less than 274 patches), so it
probably doesn't make much sense to waste time on the build failures you
experienced. I have put a snapshot of the current state of the repository on
the web server, the URL is
http://www-csr.bessy.de/control/SoftDist/sequencer/releases/seq-
snapshot-2011-05-11.tar.gz
(BTW, I just added a patch that automatically creates and uploads such a tar
ball every time I upload to our web server.)
Could I persuade you to try to compile this version on windows?
If you build against a recent version of EPICS base (I think 3.14.11 is
enough), then you can run the automated test suite (which is still far from
providing complete coverage but is helpful nevertheless) by executing
make runtests
at the TOP directory (after building, just like with EPICS base). Note that
some of the tests are supposed to run for half a minute, so be patient.
I also hope I can make a release candidate for 2.1.0 as soon as possible, and
that you will be able to test if it cleanly builds (and run the test suite) on
windows. The main hurdle for me at the moment is how to run the test suite on
vxWorks and RTEMS.
Cheers
Ben
