Hi Dirk,

I think Austen Rose has implemented this in his new Asyn version of the MAXv driver, and that relies on the front panel connector.

Are all 16 pins available on the front panel? If not, Austen suggested we use both sets (0-7 on the front panel, and 8-15 on the backplane).

It's also possible that we're using the existing DPM support in the OMS58 driver.

Cheers,
Matthew

Driver Power Monitoring (DPM) was never implemented for the
MAXv so there is no problem with breaking existing applications.

I don't recall why I did not implement DPM for the MAXv, but
I second Mark's comments and add that features like DPM
add clutter to device drivers and would be better implemented
at a higher level (which is possible with the new asyn motor device
driver support).

Hope this helps,
Ron
