I wanted to let you know that the gateway is running fine here on my
test machine for more than a week now after the changes you recommended.
Thank you for your support!
To get things working, I had to change/add some configuration stuff that is
probably generic for running epics on FreeBSD. I'll have to compile a
short list of these things and will probably create FreeBSD ports for my
machines here installing at least epics, extensions, medm. Would it be
worth trying to get FreeBSD folks to offer some "official" port
(<http://www.freebsd.org/ports/index.html>), or could some of these things
be integrated into a later epics distribution?
