Hi Emmanual,
By design, a StreamDevice record needs to connect to a "bus". At the
moment, I only support asynDriver as a bus system. For your application,
you don't need it. Thus a "dummy" bus driver would do. I already have a
"debug" bus driver that simply prints what function is called. From this
is should be easy to write a "dummy" driver. I will try.

Hello,
I am tryign to use a feature I have seen in stream protocols.
I would like to call iocsh function from a process variable.
ex:
when a bo record is set to 1, I would like to execute 'dbl' in the iocsh.
Q: is it possible to use stream without instanciating a asynPort ?
Q: is there another SIMPLE way to do this other than with stream ?
Q: apropos is it possible in stream to pass the value of the PV in exec lines?
ex: exec "dbpr mbboPV <valueOfMbboPV>" ;
Thanks,
