The fourth annual EPICS Codeathon will be held at Lawrence Berkeley National
Laboratory in Berkeley, California from the 23rd to the 27th of May. Thanks
to Eric Norum and his group for agreeing to host us.

As with previous Codeathons this event is for developers who are experienced
with EPICS to spend the week writing code that advances the purposes of the
collaboration. The development doesn't have to target EPICS Base, but it must
be a project that is useful across multiple EPICS sites.

There will be some core developers present to help, advise on direction and
review any code that is to be merged into Base. New code developed for EPICS
Base at this event must target the 3.15 series or later, the 3.14 series will
only receive bug fixes from now on.

Some more details can be found at the URL below:

We will be limited by the size of the room to at most 20 people, so if you are
interested in coming please email me as soon as possible to reserve a place.

If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will
scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will
refuse to believe it. If, on the other hand, he is offered something
which affords a reason for acting in accordance to his instincts, he
will accept it even on the slightest evidence. -- Bertrand Russell
