The pthreads documentation explicitly says "These functions will not return an
error code of [EINTR]." Nobody has complained that they were seeing those
messages, so I think we're safe from both angles.

In that message I'm just talking about Till's bug-fix that substitutes a
while() for the if() in two places in the posix/osdEvent.c file. The other
stuff was a separate conversation which I haven't studied yet, so feel free to
keep discussing it...
