I used to look at the Prologix GPIB-Ether controller to see if it met
our needs here. But one of its features removed it from my
consideration: it supports only one TCP/IP client at a time (fine for
me) and if the second client comes in, the first gets clicked out (not
fine for me). Below is the message from the Prologix tech support:
GPIB-ETH supports only one TCP/IP client at a time. If a second client
attempts to connect, the first client connection is disconnected.

Hi Emmanuel,
We've been using Prologix [http://prologix.biz] GPIB-Ethernet adapters to control some test equipment and they've proven pretty reliable. As far as software for them, it's a bit more 'roll your own', but there are a number of sample/free utilities and the documentation seems decent enough.

I have a few GPIB devices.
I am trying to phase them out whenever possible.
Is there an inexpensive GPIB to ethernet converted that you would recomend?
