The app dev guide says:
"Normally, it is desirable to directly create the breakpoint tables. However, sometimes it is desirable to create a breakpoint
table from a table of raw values representing equally spaced engineering units."
So my instructions are for people who directly create their breakpoint table. I've not used makeBpt but I'm sure it does a better job at slimming the table down to only what is necessary. Probably if CPU or memory is an issue, it's a good idea to create the .data files and use makeBpt.
