Please try using absolute paths instead of relative ones in your release 
files, i.e. paths that (after all the macros have been substituted) start from 
the root '/' of your directory tree.

As an aside, the <base>/configure/RELEASE file should never contain the 
definition of EPICS_BASE, and it doesn't need EPICS_EXTENSIONS since Base has 
to be completely built before extensions anyway.
