Thank you. This was actually exactly what I first came up with as well,
but then I thought "no, that's way too hacky".
OTOH, if you think it's not too hacky then maybe I'll do just that. It's
certainly a lot less implementation overhead than running a full motor
record (that we really don't need.) So it will probably be equally
maintainable in the long run.
