/sw/lib is where the fink package puts libraries.
I had to install fink and then 'fink install readline5'. This is sufficient to run the IOC.
I also installed openmotif4. medm ran fine but probe and alh did't. Eric Norum said to use openmotif3, not openmotif4. So I uninstalled openmotif4 and installed openmotif3, however, now they all are looking for '/sw/lib/libXm.4.dylib'.
