All,

The version of EPICS Base in the NSLSII Debian repository will soon be
upgraded to 3.14.11.  This is a major upgrade since it changes the
soname of the Base libraries and thus requires a rebuild of most
packages.  I've finished the builds and we have started internal
testing.  Anyone who is interested can help test by pointing your
package manager at the temporary "prep" repository.

If no major issues arise these builds will be moved to the primary
repository in a couple of weeks.

deb http://epics.nsls2.bnl.gov/debian/ prep main contrib.

Note: The NSLSII EPICS repositories are extensions to the official
Debian 5.0 (lenny) repository.  However, the "prep" extension repository
is a replacement for the NSLSII "lenny" repository so only one of the
two should be present in your sources.list unless additional measures
are taken (search for "apt pinning").

Important Notes

* All EPICS related files will move from /usr/epics/base to
/usr/lib/epics.

This move is made to be more compliant with Debian rules regarding file
system layout.  Making this change removes a major obstacle preventing
EPICS Base from being included in the official Debian repository.

* Builds include fixes from 3.14.11+patches bazaar branch
