Hi Gary,

One more thing, I just noticed this:

EPICS currently supports Solaris, Linux, Darwin and Windows. The tree still
contains build configuration files for OSF-Alpha and AIX-PPC, but I don't know
when they were last used or tested. We dropped HPUX a few years ago through
lack of effort/need, and I don't think we've ever had support for IRIX.

Porting EPICS is not a trivial job, but if you need those other architectures
to work this is the place to ask for advice. You might need to get your hands
dirty with both C++ and pthreads to succeed.
