Bug reports are never discouraging, please report them as you find them so we 
can save everyone else from duplicating the work to find a fix.  There was one 
problem (with a patch provided on the Known Problems page) which caused a 
build failure in the src/softIoc directory, but I'm not aware of any other 
issues.

I'm having no trouble building a fully-patched and clean 3.14.11 on Linux or 
Darwin with INSTALL_LOCATION set.  However I did have problems when I forgot 
to do a 'make clean' though, could that have been the issue?
