Do you need auto-scale? If not, you may "hide" a waveform by applying
values that are not shown because they are outside the y-scale.
It's an rather large database hack, but straight forward:
you create copies for all your 16 waveforms, which are filled with the
data of the original waveforms e.g. by an asub record.
Each of the copies has an assosiated 'bi' record to switch the content
of the copy to get the "out-of-scale" content from a dummy waveform record.
You can fill the dummy record once and keep the value with autoSRarray,
or use some device support to fill it with appropriate values.
In you medm panel you just refer to the copied waveform records.

_Disclaimer:_ I just think it should work, I haven't tested it.

Actually if you need autoscaling for the y-axis, you could still do the
same trick by using individual x-axis waveforms for all you y-data
waveforms.

The advantage of this hack is, that it's only done in the EPICS
database, it does not need any special feature in the cartesian plot widget.

Cheers
Andreas
