Hi Pete,
You can 'fix' that libX11 problem by installing a private copy of libX11.so.6.2.0 (taken from an earlier
linux release) into the XOP installation tree and add an extra LD_LIBRARY_PATH to the script that
starts up XOP. It's an ugly solution, I know, but it may be enough for your purposes!
I have an SRPM at http://cep.xor.aps.anl.gov/localpackages/10/SRPMS/xop-2.11-9.fc10.src.rpm that you
could try which has the necessary patches. Or try the RPM at http://cep.xor.aps.anl.gov/localpackages/10/i386/xop-2.11-9.fc10.i386.rpm
Of course, standard caveats apply...
Regards,
Guy Jennings

In an effort to overcome this VM issue I bought an IDL license, only to realize that my new desktop machine (and the IDL I bought) is running 64-bit linux and all of the binaries underlying XOP are 32-bit.
