I'd like to pass an empty macro expansion to EDM. So far all I've been able to product is complains and a failure to start:

edm -x -m "P=bclean,CAM=Cam,R=" Engineering.edl
Incomplete macro specification (-h displays help)

edm -x -m P=bclean,CAM=Cam,R=, Engineering.edl
Incomplete macro specification (-h displays help)

Is it possible to set an edm macro to be empty? A quick look at the code in appContextClass::getParams leads me to think not.

It works if you invoke edm like this

edm -x -m "P=bclean,CAM=Cam,R=''" Engineering.edl

nevertheless it's a bit difficult to quote if you pass the arguments through shell-scripts....
