What OPI clients do you want to use? You don't need to build base if you only want to use medm.
If you do build for Windows I would recommend a more recent version of base, such as 3.14.11 with patches, because it fixes some significant problems with EPICS in Win32.

Hello! i have installed EPICS base 3.14.8.2 on redhat 9.0 successfully, and i installed EPICSWin32extensions1.40.mis, i want to use Win32 as the OPI,and redhat 9.0 as the IOC, i wonder whether i need to build EPICS base3.14.8.2 on Win32 too. i hope i can receive your reply as soon as possible.
