Hi Kate,
I just added the functions I mentioned before to the intensity graph
widget of BOY: Cropping, Rubberband zoom, cursor position and value
tip, profiling. Please see the attached screenshot below. The new
features will be available in next version of CSS-SNS. If you want to
have a quick taste, I can also send the plugins to you.
My final goal is to use the mouse cursor to 1) locate the ROI and 2)
have one-click to
activate the EPICS IOC event to perform the ROI . At this point, ImageJ
pligins
do 1) , but not 2). I have modified the TwoDProfileMonitorClass so that
I can
do 1) , but not yet 2). Can your S/W perform 2) (e.g. the one-click
activation) ?
Anyway, with the absence of the one-click activation, one can still type in
the (X,Y) location of the ROI.
Many Thanks,
Kate

Hi Xihui,
I do not know what "BOY" is. Is it edm based ? I started to look
at ImageJ plugins and considered
it very suitable except one can add one or two more wish lists.
However, I will be interested in
looking into more options when it is ready. Please let us know.
Thanks,
Kate

Hi Kate,
I have developed an intensity graph widget for BOY at SNS, which has
the capability to display 2D image based on its colormap. I'm planning
to add the functions you asked: Cropping, Rubberband zoom, cursor
position and value tip, profiling.
Thanks,
Xihui

Subject: edm : TwoDProfileMonitorClass : cropping/resizing image
I am using the edm/TwoDProfileMonitorClass for a real-time
image display. Has anyone implemented a point-and-click resizing
tool via the mouse for that class so that one can interactively crop
out a section of the real-time image ?
A simpler implementation would be to have an active cursor
being moved around the real-time image and have a text
message to display the current (x,y) pixel location of the cursor
for users to use it as a reference or an activation point
to define the location of the cropping. Is this already
implemented in the edm video widget ? Please advise.
Regards,
Kate
