Hi EPICS Tech-Talk Community,

W.M. Keck Observatory is looking to fill a couple of vacant positions.  In particular we’re looking for a Control Systems Engineer (no EPICS experience necessary). We also have openings for an Electronics Engineer and an Opto-Mechanical Engineer.

If you have a moment, we would appreciate your help in finding a suitable candidate for a Control Systems Engineer position or any of the other positions we have here at the Keck Observatory in Hawaii. Please take a look at the brief Control System Engineer description below or for more details and a complete position listing go to our website at www.keckobservatory.org/about/employment.

Please forward this to anyone you think might be suitable or who could recommend a great candidate.  Be sure to mention EPICS Tech-Talk when they apply J

Thank you very much.

The W. M. Keck Observatory operates the world’s two largest optical/infrared telescopes located on the summit of Mauna Kea on the Big Island of Hawaii.  The Observatory is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to develop and optimize the control software for the Observatory’s next generation adaptive optics system. Qualifications include a working knowledge of control theory and proven experience in developing and integrating distributed real time control software solutions for engineering or scientific applications. A working knowledge of adaptive optics systems is highly desirable.

This is a regular position with a competitive, comprehensive benefits package including relocation assistance and private school (K-12) tuition support for dependent children. Additional information about WMKO and this position at www.keckobservatory.org. EEO/M/F/D/V
