Hi Zen,
I played a while with a Basler Scout GigE and areaDetector 1.2 last
year. 
Then the camera was needed elsewhere and the code was never completed.
I was able to acquire images from the camera. If you are interested, I
can send you what I have and you might use it as a starting point.
