Hi,

I'm planning to write an ActionScript library for CA, but I know
little about the network. Could any of you give me some advice about
which files in EPICS I should read?

It's all started because I'm not totally satisfied with EDM. It's ugly
(sorry to say that) and not platform-independent. I've tried some
flash recently and felt amazing, so I want to use ActionScript and
Flex SDK to make a beautiful and cross-platform interface.

By the way, compiling EDM is not an interesting trip. The open()
function should have three parameters but the one in utility.cc has
only two so I have to add the "mode" parameter: 0644, I'm not sure if
it's right, maybe 755 is better?
Anyway, on a 64bit Ubuntu with gcc version 4.3.3, I can't link
correctly, linking to libXm, libXp, blahblah.... reports "bad symbols"
errors, but I guess it's the compiler's problem.
