Ciao Maurizio,

you are probably missing the appropriate configuration in the .../configure/RELEASE file of your working tree, which has the information about all external modules needed. In that file, you should have an entry like
 EPID=<location of the epid package>

To make things work, you will have to run make in the top level directory of your working tree (or in .../configure directory itself) before trying to recompile your IOC library.

Hope this helps,
Ralph

Hi,
i'm looking for to use the epid record to control an High Voltage
Power Supply but i'm in trouble: i'm trying to compile my ioc but i
have this kind of error:

make[3]: *** No rule to make target
`../../../lib/linux-x86//libepidRecord.a', needed by `testPID'.  Stop.

I've setted the Makefile in src directory specifing:
1) testPID_DBD += epidRecord.dbd
2) testPID_LIBS += epidRecord
3) testPID_LIBS += devEpidSoft

where is my mastake? thanks a lot for any suggestions.

Maurizio M.
