The original message on this topic was a complaint that cainfo showed nothing:

We don't know what version Carl Schumann <[email protected]> was using, but 
I'm going to guess it's a fairly recent R3.14.x version.  When was the 
behavior 'report the dotted IP address if no DNS result yet' added?
