Wesley,
I suppose you've googled and searched tech-talk.
I've been using a Simple Channel Access (SCA) package with LabVIEW
support for years. It works but it has problems when an IOC is
rebooted, so I'm all for for a better solution but it has perennially
been a low priority.
Several methods are described at GSI:
http://wiki.gsi.de/cgi-bin/view/Epics/ConnectingLabVIEWandEPICS
National Instruments offers two solutions. The first is to buy LabVIEW
and the add-on Data Supervisory & Control Package, which has EPICS CA
support built-in. The second method which I haven't tried doesn't
require the DSC and is described at

-ps

tech-talkers,
Yes I know this has been done, but what's the difficulty in setting
this up? What is the preferred method and has the experience been good
or bad? It seems like the decision to support this is based on extent
of it's usage.
Thanks for any comments,
Wesley
