Anyone have insight about the gateway and non-default CA ports?

Interesting, when I try the default ports, the gateway works. My
question is that
1) do I have to use the default ports for gateway?
2) If I can use other ports, why do 5080 & 5081 not work? What is so
special about these two ports?

Thanks Paul. Yes, we has a firewall between two private subnets, but it
is configured to allow all traffics and opened up to all ports. Like any
other gateways we had before, we didn't use the default port.

Jingchen,
Have you a firewall enabled? EPICS uses ports 5064 & 5065 by default.
It looks like your port is 5081 .... I'm not sure if that is tandard for
the firewall but I don't think so.

The gateway was up, but not functional at all, I checked the gateway diagnostic panel, nothing was connected, including the gateway's internal PVs.
