Hi,

I am trying to write a PV object extension for EDM that needs to support

text/string data. It is not clear what type and specific type I should

be returning from get_type() and get_specific_type(). An obvious

candidate would be ProcessVariable::Type::text and its specific analog

ProcessVariable::specificType::text, are that the correct types? What

about the size and description fields in the two type structures?
