Hello,
On an EMD (edm 1-11-2b) display at SLAC. A PV with EGU of micro-meters shows up as µm (An extra A + ^ character in front of it.)
On a xterm, konsole, Matlab editor, and (xdf -fn <font>) it shows as expected:
[physics@lcls-srv02]$ caget SIOC:SYS0:ML00:AO496.EGU
SIOC:SYS0:ML00:AO496.EGU µm
using font:
-misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--18-120-100-100-c-90-iso8859-7
I see B~m instead of µm
Other font sets that We've tried include:
courier-bold-i-18.0 = -adobe-courier-bold-o-normal--18-180-75-75-m-110-iso8859-1
helvetica-bold-i-10.0 = -adobe-helvetica-bold-o-normal--10-100-75-75-p-60-iso8859-1
new century schoolbook-bold-r-10.0 = -adobe-new century schoolbook-bold-r-normal--10-100-75-75-p-66-iso8859-1
Thank you for any help on this matter,
William Colocho
