Hi Patrick,

in principle your database should work as you expect ...

Please check:
Is your link connected properly (or do you see a record status of LINK)?
If you're changing the DTYP online, you will have to set the INP field afterwards or your DTYP change will be unnoticed. In many cases, it is important that in the database file the DTYP field appears *before* the INP/OUT link fields (else parsing the link field might go wrong).

Good luck!
Ralph

Hi,

I'm trying to use an ai record to obtain the value of a channel from a record on another IOC. I have the INP field set to "(name of field on other IOC) CP"; When I specify the DTYP as Soft Channel, it reads the value and updates as it changes. But when I set the DTYP to Raw Soft Channel so that I can do conversion on it, both the RVAL and the VAL fields stay a constant 0.

Thank you,

Patrick
