Hi,
We're looking at Labview on Linux for gui's for the new Hall D
experiment at JLab. ORNL (and maybe others) has a Labview plugin that
can act as a channel access client on Linux (not sure if there is a
Linux Labview server plugin yet, but there is one for Windows).
Labview is second to none on ease of use, choice of display widgets, and
ability to analyze data in real time. It is as "slick" as they get, and
as an extremely popular commercial product is kept up to date.
The only downside is that it is a commercial product. This is not an
issue for us.

Elliott
