Subject: autosave not restoring all PVs

Hi all,

Has anybody come across a problem where autosave fails to connect to a
number of PVs when the IOC boots up, and so cannot restore their values?

When this happens I get a line like this at the top of the autosave log
file:

! 50 channel(s) not connected - or not all gets were successful

and the last however many channels (50 in this case) in the list are
commented out as follows:

#BL24I-CS-SCAN-01:SCAN:FILE.VAL Search Issued

I haven't worked out a way of reproducing this yet, but when it does
happen it seems to be the PVs listed at the end of the .req file that
fail, almost as if it has run out of time and just given up?!

We are running autosave 4-2-1 at the moment.

Thanks,

Emma
