Hi,
CSS 1.1.0 is now released:
http://css.desy.de/content/e413/index_eng.html
The following common applications are integrated in the CSS product:
Synoptic Display Studio
Data Browser
Probe
PV Table
Post analyser
EPICS PV tree
Screenshot
System monitor
More applications can be loaded from the DESY update site but they need
additional environments (like a JMS server for the alarm tables and an
LDAP server for the alarm tree). Please find the installation
instructions for JMS here:
http://css.desy.de/content/e428/e339/index_eng.html
.. and for LDAP here:
http://css.desy.de/content/e428/e262/e260/index_eng.html
A bare CSS version with just the platform plug-ins is available on:
http://css.desy.de/content/e413/e2394/index_eng.html.
A list of open issues and known bugs you can find on the wiki pages in
Code Beamer. If you do not have an account please use 'guest', 'guest':
http://elogbook.desy.de:8181/cb/proj/wiki/displayPage.do?doc_id=1787.
Some core documentation files are gathered here:
http://css.desy.de/content/e1576/index_eng.html
The current CSS-Help files are also available online here:
http://krykxmpp:8099/help/index.jsp
We have prepared some SDS Displays with examples for the whole
functionality and all widgets of SDS:
First open the SDS perspective (Menu 'Windows' -> 'Open perspective' ->
'Display development')
Second copy SDS example files to your workspace: (Menu 'CSS' ->
'Display' -> 'Install Synoptic Display Studio sample displays')
In the workspace folder 'SDS Demo Display/Training/' you will find the
new training displays.
For some displays a SoftIOC with special EPICS databases (Folder /SDS
Demo Display/Training/EPICS_DBs_TrainingIOC) is necessary. A SoftIOC for
MS windows can be found on the CSS Homepage:
http://css.desy.de/content/e1576/e2306/index_eng.html.
The databases are part of that distribution. For other OS you can copy
the EPICS databases from the SDS directory mentioned above to your IOC
load directory.
After the release of CSS 1.1.0 we will change from Eclipse 3.3 to
Eclipse 3.4 (The Java version will still be 1.5).
Best regards,
Jan Hatje
