When I was at the SNS we need a similar thing,
So, John Sinclair created something called the pvlistServer:
http://ics-web.sns.ornl.gov/pvlistserver/log/show.php?mon=Jan&theDay=5&year=2004
It was tested for Linux and vxWorks.
I will try and port it to RTEMS as well.
