Hi,
I am working with two versions of EDM. The first is the approximately 3
year old 1-10-1zc. The second is the fairly current 1-11-1L. Users
have already developed many screens with the older version. There is
one widget/object that is supported in the older EDM that is not
apparently supported in the newer version. That widget is Stripchart.
In the older version Stripchart is implemented by the edmStripClass from
extensions/src/edm/pvFactory/strip.cc and put into the library
libPV.so. This appears to be true of the newer version also. However,
only in the older version does pv_register.cc define
create_StripClassPtr(). As a result the new version does not appear to
support Stripchart. Are all my observations correct? I am not yet
sure whether or not the existing displays use Striptchart, but if they
do I am wondering what to do about it. Thanks in advance for any
explanations or suggestions.
