Yes, edit your base/configure/CONFIG_SITE file and set HOST_OPT=NO.  If you're 
cross-compiling to vxWorks or RTEMS, set CROSS_OPT=NO instead/as well.  Then 
rebuild everything.  You can do this on a per-architecture basis by changing 
an appropriate os/CONFIG_SITE.* file instead.
