Hi, Carl.

I can't answer your EDM questions, but depending on your needs, another
approach might be to write an ACNET PV Adapter that would adapt the
ACNET PV interface to an EPICS PV interface thus allowing you to use the
existing EDM support for EPICS PVs.  I'm not suggesting this is the way
to go, but depending on what you need, this might be another option to
consider.
