Ask a simple question.... get 20 answers!

And the Admin here is concerned about "...support..." because they
don't see a " ...commercial support contract...".

I get much better support from this list than I get from our contract
with Motorola or GE (and they cost us bundles).

Perhaps I should talk to them about sponsoring things more. ...don't
think there's a chance they'd do it... ;-(

David,

I'm on vacation, so rather short. This:

taskSpawn ("dhsDailyUpdate", 100, 8, 20000, dhsDailyUpdate)

(from an IOC's startup script) runs every day at 0:00 UT.

dhsDailyUpdate is a function in our FITS file writing device
support in this case, but I'd guess that it can be any non-private
function in any code that's loaded on the IOC.

(We had something similar before, you'll probably find it if
you search the tech-talk archive for taskSpawn)

HTH,
Aloha,
Maren
