Here's a paper from ICALEPCS07 that describes running an EPICS IOC on the Moxa-box ... pretty cool.

Dave,

At the APS we have been using the MOXA Nport serial device servers. They come in 1, 2, 4, 8, or 16 port versions. We use the 5410 4- port model the most which costs around $400. We've been using them for several years and they work fine.

Hi everyone...

We are looking for an Ethernet-to-RS232 device that we can use in a manner similar to the Agilent GPIB gateway, meaning using ASYN to send messages out over our network and then out to RS232 devices.

Is anyone else doing this? Have a product that they've had good results with or any to avoid?

Thanks...
