Greetings,
It took some minor persuasion, but I managed to get edm 1-11-1g (the
latest version) to compile under Fedora Core 9. Unfortunately, the
application is largely unstable. In particular, it crashes with a
"Segmentation Fault" whenever I attempt to place a Menu Mux object. It
also crashes rather frequently (but unpredictably) when I'm accessing
the Help files (particularly when I close the files after viewing them).
The Menu Mux object does appear in the window the instant before edm
crashes. In addition, if I open an EDL file that contains a Menu Mux
object, edm only crashes when I try to access the properties for the
object.
I installed openmotif-2.3.0-0.3.fc8.ccrma.i386.rpm and
openmotif-devel-2.3.0-0.3.fc8.ccrma.i386.rpm initially, but have since
tried openmotif-2.2.3-2.i386 and openmotif-devel-2.2.3-2.i386 with the
same result. There's an older message on the list that suggests
removing the devel packages, but the header files they contain appear
to be necessary.
Any suggestions as to what the problem might be?
