to /etc/X11/xorg.conf worked for me

We added to the bug... we'll see what we hear back.  In the mean time
the following command executed on the fc8 machine that you're trying
to display on will fix the problem.

xset fp+ /usr/share/X11/fonts/75dpi

No problem with 75dpi ...so far ;-)

Now could someone tell us how to get edm to compile on fc8? We're
having trouble because it wants to link with libXt.a, and we're not
finding that in the fc8 rpms.

I don't have it either :-(
fortunately I do not need edm on my f8 machine.
