Hello All,

Diamond Light Source, http://www.diamond.ac.uk/  has vacancies with
responsibilities relating to accelerator and beamline control system
development, and support of EPICS toolkit at Diamond.  Control systems
are realised on Diamond using EPICS, with VME and VxWorks or embedded
Linux systems for the hardware interface layer and  Linux workstations
for all development and operational systems. 

The following positions are available:

EPICS Core Developer

This is an opportunity to work on core EPICS developments, working with
recognised lead engineers of the EPICS toolkit from around the world.
Candidates must have a good honours degree in physics, electronic
engineering or computer science. They must have experience in developing
software in a real time distributed control environment plus experience
of the EPICS and the ability to work as part of an
internationally-distributed, multi-national team. 

Software Systems Engineer

This is an opportunity to work closely with a team of scientists and
engineers, to develop software as part of control systems on the Diamond
accelerators, photon beamlines and experiment stations.  Candidates must
have a good honours degree in physics, electronic engineering or
computer science or BTEC HNC/HND plus relevant experience. They will
need experience of software development applied to real-time
applications and programming skills in C.
