Tech-talk has been experiencing delays recently; it seems that the
Mailman process that runs the list stops processing incoming messages
until it gets restarted manually. This has been happening since Python
was upgraded on our email server about 2 weeks ago.
Thanks to everyone who has reported this; we're aware of the problem and
I have asked our IT group to fix it, although I don't know how long it
will take them to track it down. If you notice it happening again (you
send something to tech-talk and it doesn't get distributed within a few
hours) please notify me directly and I'll prompt them to restart the
process which should at least cause messages to be circulated again.
