Hi,
I have the same problem under fedora core 6. Modify pvBindings.h in
/extensions/src/edm/lib as :
pvClass *createNew( ....
to 
class pvClass *createNew(...
and
pvClass *clone(...
to
class pvClass *clone(... 
New g++ version is more sensible !

I try to make edm-1-11-0zg on my Linux system (GENTOO Linux, latest
revision) and I get the following error:
