After looking in the code...
StreamDevice builds against 3.14.8.2+ otherwise iocshCmd is not defined
in iocsh.h (an include file in base).
But to my dismay RawConverter.cc has not been modified.

Let's see if I still get the strange behavior with that converter which
I noticed earlier. 
(it seems that when using Raw for out and then in, the input/value
buffer is not fully cleared. As a result I read chars which appears in
the out string but whioch are never sent. More investigation is required
though).

I untarred StreamDevice in the stream/<version> directory of
synApps-5_2. There it compiles correctly.
