You may want to look at comedi.org for Data acquisition drivers.

You probably won't need interrupts. You ADC cards probably have an
on-board buffer to which they write to according to their trigger rate.

Your driver should mmap that buffer and read all of the valid data ( X
waveforms for X on-board channels). Of course, your epics scan rate has
to be fast enough to prevent the buffer from filling up.
