Yup, and also check the later Known Problems pages just in case. The patches mentioned may not all be necessary depending on what features you actually use, but I to try and keep the Known Problems list *for the latest release* up to date with all of the essential bug fixes that apply to that release. If you're using an older release there may be issues described in the newer Known Problems pages so you should look at them too â the applicability of a patch is usually discussed when the problem it fixes is known to exist in earlier versions too. 2. How do I determine which Mantis entries apply to this base release? I was talking about R3.14.9 when I mentioned those particular entries, they do not apply to R3.14.8.2 (#282 specifically says so, and I'm fairly sure this is true of #288 as well since Jeff had been working in that area for the 3.14.9 release). You can look for particular entries that mention 3.14.8.2 using the search facility on the Mantis "View Bugs" page; make sure you have the "Hide Closed" check-box un-checked. This won't necessarily tell you that later entries don't also apply too though; unfortunately that's not an easy problem to solve without making extra work for the already stretched maintainers, but that's why I try to keep that information in the Known Problems pages. - Andrew -- When a distinguished but elderly scientist states that something is possible, he is almost certainly right. When he states that something is impossible, he is very probably wrong. -- Arthur C. Clarke
